About Fletcher Community Church

Going to a new church can be intimidating, but Fletcher Community Church tries to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word and lots of friendly people pursuing God together. And thanks to our children's church, your whole family will love it too! Below are some FAQs you may find helpful:

Q: What's there for my kids on Sunday mornings?

A: Fletcher Community Church has a children's church each morning, save for the first Sunday of the month. During a typical worship service, the children will be dismissed after the opening song(s), time of greeting and prayer and go to a separate area under the care of trained adult supervisors/teachers; the children excitedly rejoin us toward the end of worship. On the first Sunday of the month, special activities are provided to all children, who remain with us during the whole of worship so they can participate in Holy Communion with their adult guardians.

Q: Where do I park? Where do I go in?

A: There is a large, well-kept parking lot located behind the church, with its entrance/exit on First Avenue. From there, you can't miss the entrance, located under a large overhang in the center of the building.

Q: How do folks dress at Fletcher? What's the atmosphere like?

A: Ours is a farming community, so dress ranges from very casual to business casual. Folks love to gather in the Fellowship Hall (just inside the entrance) for coffee, snacks and conversation just before service begins.

Q: What is a worship service like?

A: A typical service consists of an opening greeting, followed by prayer and song(s), then by a time of greeting for the whole church to welcome each other and reconnect. Kids are dismissed for children's church, followed by a time of prayer where folks can mention any prayer requests they might have. Some more music may follow, then our teaching time ensues, followed by a closing song and benediction.
